Several friends, pages and followers have alerted us to this Star Wars Black Series six inch image from a Toys R Us store in Hong Kong. As you can imagine this image is doing the rounds, on Facebook and social media and as usual is doing the job of lack thereof of PR for Hasbro, who seem neglect to say anything on new products these days. So we can only speculate, is this a potential UK Celebration Europe /SDCC exclusive getting a wider release in Hong Kong?
The price some have quoted as $108 USD although no proof has been given. The droids also appear to be a slightly odd choice but not unheard of, and would mean that by not making key popular characters, such as say R5-D4, this will be less missed by the majority and ideal in some eyes for an exclusive. Or could be a saddo making a total fake, at which point, well done, it looks great!
R2-A3 - a droid supposedly used aboard Wedge Antilles' T-65 X-wing starfighter (based off a pack in with with a Hasbro 3.75" model of old)
R5-K6 - again we have had a 3.75" Hasbro model of old, and this is according to old trading cards and several wikis; "R5-K6 was the astromech droid for Red Leader, Garven Dreis, during the assault on the first Death Star at the Battle of Yavin. He previously served at the Dantooine Rebel base. He was destroyed along with Dreis's X-wing."
R2-F2 - yet again we have had a 3.75" Hasbro model of old of this astromech and according to Wookiepedia attached to Red Squadron of the Rebel Alliance. R2-F2 was introduced in the premier release of Fantasy Flight Games' X-Wing Miniatures Game.
