LEGO Star Wars The Empire Strikes Heads To DVD With Exclusive Minifg

As expected the mini LEGO movie 'The Empire Strikes Out' is coming out on DVD with an 'exclusive' mini figure, um... Darth Vader with a medal. that the best we can do here?

Expect this to be as before, slightly less quality than a normal minifigure given the others have been made in China. Shoudl be some extra features but oddly no mention of the more profit reaping Blu-ray anywhere as yet... Amazon has a book version for younger readers

The official blurb reads;
After a record-breaking debut on Cartoon Network, The LEGO Group and Lucasfilm announced today that LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out is coming to DVD on March 26, 2013. The 22-minute original standalone special will bring the same tongue-in-cheek humor fans know and love in a brand new epic adventure featuring everyone's favorite LEGO Star Wars characters. Distributed by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, the DVD will include an exclusive collectible Darth Vader LEGO mini-figure and is available now for pre-order at .
In LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out, the original Death Star has just been destroyed, but Luke, Han, Chewie, and Leia can't celebrate for too long -- a new Imperial threat has arisen. And while Luke has become a household name as "Death-Star-Blower-Upper," he finds that not even the Force can protect him from a new menace: crazed fans! Things aren't looking so good for Darth Vader, either, who finds himself locked in a hilarious "Sith-ling" rivalry with Darth Maul. LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out is an action-packed, comedic romp, perfect for fans of any age.
When LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out premiered on Cartoon Network, it became the number-one telecast of the day with kids ages 6-11 and boys ages 2-17. Written by Emmy Award-winner Michael Price (The Simpsons), the special features many of the beloved Star Wars voice actors fans know and love, including Anthony Daniels, Sam Witwer, Ahmed Best, and more.

  1. At present but will be likely same for US and UK. Oz got it several days earlier last year.
    It's 99.9% likely to be region free and a BIG W special.

  2. Good feeling about this I have.

  3. Not on blu ray I don't, don't understand why not pimped on that format. Has to be on it though.
